Oh, I do like to be beside the seaside!

Something very exciting is happening this weekend!  Rather than a market or a lovely fair we've got the keys to our very own shop!  It'll be a one-time special event, we're opening our very own vintage pop up shop for this weekend only.  I'm super excited.  If you're anywhere near Brighton this weekend do pop in....  see below for details.

114 Church Street, Brighton, BN1 1UD
We're open:
Saturday 12 - 6.30pm
Sunday 11 - 6.30pm
Bank Holiday Monday 11 - 6.30pm

Retro homeware

Along with the vintage fashion I also sell retro homeware. I love 60s and 70s furniture & collectibles. These are pics from a recent stall at Spitalfields market. I'm there most Thursdays in amongst all the great antiques and interesting stuff. It's hard to stay at my stall with so much good stuff on offer... I'll be back in a couple of weeks so maybe see you there....

Something for the weekend....

I do love anything from the 60s and I found these bits yesterday.  3 just quite fab tops, 2 dresses, a vanity case, a 60s knitting bag and 2 handbags.  These (as long as I can persuade myself not to hang on to them!) will be coming with me this Sunday.  I'll be at a vintage fair in Harpenden (see below).  I'm hoping to find some more goodies tomorrow too.

Sunday 16th May 2010

Oooh, new obsession - vintage fabric!

I've collected quite a few curtain panels of late.  You can't beat some of the prints from the 60s & 70s!  I have been meaning to make some cushions and all sorts of things but I just haven't got round to it.  So many projects, so little time!  So, I've decided to pop a couple pieces on ebay.  These are some of the fabrics.  They are on ebay too if you want a proper look.

Day one of Carrie's blog.

I find alot of great things in my job.  I spend my life knee deep in second hand stuff and I'll happily spring out of bed at 4.30am if there's a chance that I'll find something great.  I love that the things I find have a history.  The thrill of finding a beautiful 50s dress, a pair of platform shoes or even a great and iconic item for the home just never wears off.

I do love my job.  I guess the only difficulty sometimes is parting with certain things but it's my business too so I guess I have no choice; which I guess is great for you.

Along with posting my finds, I'll let you know about markets, shops and great vintage fairs to shop at.

I hope you enjoy the blog.  I'm off to take some photos of yesterdays finds so will report back later.

Love Carrie. x
